I am testing a scheduled package that I created and cannot get it to run via the scheduler. I can manually execute it and runs fine. I've doubled checked to verify that SQL Agent is running...it is.

I believe the problem is related to ownership and roles.

I'm connecting to the server remotely and my login has system administrator role priviledges.

when I create the dts package, it lists the owner as my windows login.

Are there other things I should check to isolate why the package won't run from the scheduler?

Thanks for any help.

When a DTS package runs via a job, it uses the MSSQLSERVER service account.

To see what is going on, log in directly to the database server using this service account, then run the package.
