Hi all,

There's a move here to change the FTP target IP addresses to DNS names, what I'd like to know is:

1) What is the procedure to find the DNS of an IP?

2) Any common problems I need to look out for?

Many thanks,

JB

Do you mean IP of a DNS ?

Well, do a whois on any domain name provider's website. Either which way

I usually ping the DNS name to get the IP address.

nslookup sometime works to get the DNS name if you have the IP address.
