I'm using OpenRowSet to successfully export data from a SQL Server table to Excel... however all data is coming down as text.I've tried formatting the target spreadsheet as numeric to no avail. Is there something specific I need to do to get numbers and dates to export in their native format?Thank you.Doug |

Madhivanan makes reference to this problem here:http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=49926but his suggestion to simply format the Excel spreadsheet ahead of time to 'number' does not seem to work. The data still comes across as text for all cells.Has anyone figured out a way to get the data properly formatted? |
