| Hi all,is it possible to set up the transaction replication without having down time because i tried creating but when it runs initial snapshot it takes long time due to around 4 Millions records on the single table!!is it possible create without having down time for users to work on db!!!advise!!! |

| You can do the sync yourself - which means that you can do the initial transfer in chunks using your knowledge of how the data is changed on the source to minimise the impact then flag the table as sync'd.(Should work in theory although I've never done it).==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
