| I am exporting data from a SQL7 DB to a better designed/normalized SQL2000 DB. I tried writing some VB.NET code to do the transfer but it was all to slow. So now I'm trying for a different approach - DTS. Does anyone know of a good article somewhere that I can read or something? I need to get an overall approach sorted out in my head. What is the best way to utalize DTS? Is it the best way to go forward. Will I have the flexibility needed to get the job done. Will it be more code?...Thanks |

| sqldts.com has some good afticlesProfessional SQL Server 2000 (wrox) is good book.If you want to do straight transfer, DTS is better. You can write code, call your vb.net code every thing in DTS |
