I have been translating an old dBase5 system to SQL--into DTS packages. Each time I run DTS packages, they produce details like: the process running, start and end times, and number of records.Perhaps this question has been asked, but here's mine: I'd like to capture this data for a summarization process. Any idea how I can? The reason is: I wish to create another DTS package solely for the purposes of producing an SQL table with this information from all my DTS packages. Or I could put the summary capture process in a sproc and kick it off in an 'SQL Task' element at the end of my last DTS package process. Any help is greatly appreciated!Semper fi, XERXES, USMC(Ret.)------------------------------------------------------The Marine Corps taught me everything but SQL! |

| noone is replying, so I'll start it off;In msdb database there are some tables you might find some the information you want:sysdtspackagelogsysdtspackagessysdtssteplogsysdtstasklogYou will have to turn on logging in the dts package. It's not too difficult to report off those tables...and if you haven't seen already: www.sqldts.comrockmoose |
