abe writes "Hi, guys!....
I'm sorry for my English level in advanced...

I have got a problem. I'd like to export an Access Database to SQL Server via automatized way.

I've got several ideas about this:

1º Via programmer (vb, vbscript, etc, etc...) to register my Access database as odbc driver and, thus, can access it from my program. The next step is to export to a well-know formats such as xml. The last step, to use the Export utility which becomes integrated in SQL Server......

2º Directly using the several formats from Access Database such as text file, etc, etc....to export them...Thus, I be able to export to SQL Server

3º Translate to my Access Database into a XML file. SQL Server can translate it into a SQL Server Database.

My question about this last idea is the next:
How to fill up a XML file with the schemas, descriptions, etc, etc, (metadata information as relationship between tables) to don't lose any information about them?....

Thanks a lot of!
(I'm sorry for my English level in advanced, again)

Greetings,

Abelardo."

Have you looked at DTS? That can just "pull" Access data directly into SQL Server, including fully automated / scheduled, which will also include creating tables that match the original Access structure.
