Sarah writes "I have always used DTS's to import text files in the past, and have been designing a database as the destination based on an existing process. However, now that I have been given a sample file to look at, it's like this:

BGM,H338
DTM,137,041021,101
DTM,205,041025,101
DTM,167,041015,101
DTM,168,041021,101
QTY,7
RTE,250
AOA,1750

And there can be multiple enties like above, all in one file
And as it isn't all on one line, I can't see how I can use a DTS to import it???!!!

Pls Help!"

Use the BCP Command Utility for this.
For more help on BCP goto Books Online.
