The article that u are reffering to creates a publication in sql server which would be copied to access. So could u please write in detail what u wanna do here..To enable ur sql server for publication and avoid this error just select your sql server name under "sql server group" category from enterprise manager ... go to tools menu ... third option there is replication...in replication select configure publishing , subscribers, distributors...a interactive wizard will come up which will guide you to enable ur server for publication and distribution .RegardsRishi

As I earlier told u this atricle is for publication through sql server to access. Not vice versa.Looking at ur requirement Link tables from Access to SQL Server is best option 4 u.Just go for help in Access for Linked Tables...its simple man...You cannot Publish from access to sql server as far as my knowledge goes. (Not sure but probably its not there)

One thing u can do out here is use merge replication over heterogeneous source i.e access in this case and configure push subscription to access from SQL Server itself. After doing this any changes made to ur access Database would be reflected to sql server and vice-versa.But for this initially u need to have all ur access Data imported to ur SQL server using DTS or BCP which further can be used as a publisher for access Database.RegardsRishi
