Using DTS to run bcp....wow.....why not just use a sproc?

set the batchsize to 1 and fail on first error. It will be the row after the last one imported.
Otherwise just split the file into smaller files until you find the record.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
