| hi,i'm a dts newbie need pointing in the right direction...Background:i have a case where i cannot access data held in an sqlserver database from a SAP system running on AS400 db2...i need to push the corresponding data from the sql server (and any updates, inserts and deletions) to a db2 file...i've created DTS packages in sql to perform the initial create/copy data (one off) into the AS400 - this works...Question:i need to understand the best way of making sure the data in the AS400 table corresponds directly with the data in the sqlserver view at any point in time - any updates are valid for both systems...i have to use a view as the sql database is a 3rd party systemwhere only the views on data can be guaranteed not to change...creating triggers on tables is not an option!if anyone can give me any hints, it would be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance, drew |
