| I am trying to import an excel spreadsheet using the DTS wizard. The column that is giving me trouble is defined as a char(4). The table is already defined. Most of the data in the excel spreadsheet in that column is a 3 digit number. Occasionally, the data in that column is a 3 digit number with an alpha character at the end. Like 305v. When it has an alpha in it code, the column is not imported. I know that when you import from excel, dts looks at the first several lines of your spreadsheet and makes some assumptions about your data. But I moved these weird occurances to the top of the excel spreadsheet, and it is still happening. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Sherry |
