| Ok I am trying to get a snapshot replication set up between sql servers (sql server 2000) adn I don't think it is working. I have created the publication and a push subscription. Here is what is happening:1) When I selet the publication in the Replication-Publications folder from Enterprise Manager it says its status is pending but it shows the correct subscription. 2) In the Replication-Subscribers folder it does not show the subscription on either the publisher server or the subscription server.3) If I go into the Replication Monitor folder under Publishers it lists the snapshot and says it succeeded but says not snapshot was generated because no subscriptions needed reinitializing. It also shows the specific subscriber and says its status was never started.4) If I go into the Replication Monitor-Agents-Snapshot Agents folder I get the same thing (status succeeded but says the snapshot was not generated...).5) If I go into the Replication Monitor-Agents-Distribution Agents it lists the publisher-subscriber relationship but says it was never started. And it lists it as a Pull subscription. Could this be a left over from a previous attempt to replicate? This is about the third time I have tried this.I am really puzzled here. Ultimately I need to create a merge publication as well but for right now I would just like to get this snapshot set up.Thanks for your help!!! |

| it probably is, perform a clean up first before setting up the snapshot. it seems the previous one is merge. is there a distribution server or it's on the publisher as well?--------------------keeping it simple... |
