| Johann writes "Hi, I have two SQL Server clusters (one production and one backup/development). Both cluster have the same cluster name "SQLCLUSTER" but they do not belong to the same network/domain. I tried to copy one of the databases from production to backup and it failed. It says that I can not copy the database because both server have got the same (instance) name. Is there a way to copy and ultimately to setup replication between the two clusters?regards,Johann" |

hmm.. haven't tried this though but you could probably ask your netadmin how to connect the two clusters first. let him worry about it then we'll help you with the replication part. Or are you the netadmin?--------------------keeping it simple... |
