While I am trying to import the data from spread sheet I cam e across 2 problems.
1 Some date valus are getting imported as nulls into the date coulmn in the database
2 The field width of the desc field is definitely less than 8000 characters. When ever I tried to import that data I am getttting an error that field width is greater than the filed width of the column in the database whcih is Desc varchar (8000). I tries the functins such as left , ltrim rtrim but it is of no use.

Please help
