| what happens to text columns when they get bcp'ed out?Truncated to 8000?Going csv The project from hell...the "developer" knew access...thought text was Access text...painful...I'll be finding out soon I guess...any comments (sympathy) appreciated...Brett8-) |

| It shouldn't!!Look at the -n and -N switches Brett. Try and use SQL's native format modes as often as possible... Or is that going to screw things up (CSV)?DavidM"SQL-3 is an abomination.." |

| Thanks for the response...let you know what happens...AND all of this is dynamic...searching for a reference in every column in very table...To build a table of references, then to build a cursor to bcp out the targeted rows...Project out of hand..(and out of mind)wish I was a consultant...Brett8-) |
