Hello...

I would like to find out what changes are being planned for replication in the next version of sql server. I searched around, but I have not found any articles on the MS site that describe replication in Yukon. Could anyone point out some articles or other places to search?

thanks!

There is very little information out there about Yukon. I doubt that there is any information out there that would be specific enough to answer your question.

Try here:

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/evaluation/yukon.asp

Doesn't say too much...

Wonder what the reporting tools will be like...

Wanna bet it looks like Access...

The reporting services are going to be released indepenently of Yukon (currently).

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

You mean we're going to have to set up another environment?

Get the checkbook out.

And it doesn't look cheap if it's own product family...

I heard the reporting services stuff will be free as long as you have a license of SQL Server.

That's how I understood it as well. I wonder if people will use this for SQL Server instead of the other reporting tools out there. If it is as good as the other tools, I'm sure a lot of people will use it since it comes with SQL Server.
