| Can your pager accept e-mails? That's how we do it here. We just e-mail the status of a job to an e-mail address which happens to be a pager. |

| Then use the e-mail address of your pager in the E-mail task for DTS. Just keep the e-mail very short so that you don't get multiple pages. We currently have our Log Shipping jobs e-mail us on failure (not through DTS though). Because the failure e-mail isn't, it comes across in two pages. This can be very annoying at times. |
