Hello,

I'd need your help in order to guide me on how to best address this request:

I need to report in a XML format e-mails stored in a SQL 2000 database.

The problem is the following, of these e-mails I have on the db:

From
To
Subject

*Path of the Body*

The problem is with the last filed, because it's just a path of the real location of a .doc file containing the body (in another server), so for every e-mail I would have to read that file and use its content as the body of the e-mails.

The rest is easy becasue is just reading a table and I use the 'FOR XML' instruction on SQL as well as the BCP command to generate the output.

Is there a way to do this entirely on SQL (for example using a DTS with several steps) or should I mix it with some development too?

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Regards,
Alejandro
