| Brian writes "I need to create a scheduled DTS package that imports data from a specific text file based on the date. Each day, a text file is generated, with the file name in the following format: "MM-DD-YYYY_FILENAME.DAT". Based on the current date, the package should find the file name with the previous day's date.I'm guessing that I should be using the Dynamic Properties Task in some way, but I can't seem to get it to work. Thanks in advance!Brian" |

| Why not use bulk insert from an SP then it would be simple. In DTS you can just set the source file property to the filename in an activex step executed first.Set objPackage = DTSGlobalVariables.parentobjPackage.Connections("Feed Source File").DataSource = "TodaysFile"==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
