I used the DTS Wizard to xfer 13 million records from our Dev database to our production database. Both to the exact same tables on their respective databases.

It took about an hour for the DTS "Progress" bar to get to the end, now it is just hanging there.

I noticed that the temdb file size went to over 7gb. I am assuming that the records go into the tempdb then are physically migrated to the database I need it in.

Question is -- when is this suppose to happen? According to the DTS "progress", all the records have been trasferred, yet the wizard has been doing nothing for an hour now.

I expected that by now (an hour later), the file size of the production database would start increasing...or at least the transaction log, but NOTHING is happening.

Am I being impatient? LOL

By the way -- both databases are SQL Server 2000 with latest SP's.

Thanks for any guidence/assistance you can provide.
