How to temporarily disable replication in sql 2000, Shall i go to publisher and just right click and say disable (its a prod and i am not sure if i can enable it back if its disabled)...

Disable option does not come in subscription though....

Pls help me, I am kind of new to replication

I dont think there is any "temporary" disabling. If you disable all the replication related procs are removed from the subscriber. So you have to set it up again. Not sure if you can disable the repl agent jobs and enable them again and hope they will catch up where they left off. If you have a test environment you can give this a shot.

Yes i too thought so , i can disable the agent jobs which does the replication and enable it back...

Any other suggestion folks, Are doing the above, Will it cause any problems?
