Normajean writes "Hi;I've done extensive searches looking for best practices in transactional replication publications optimization and haven't been able to find good advice so I'm hoping you can give me some guidance.I am replicating 78 different tables to various servers from a Master server for scale-out.I have set up 78 different publications, each publication has only one article (one table per publication). My thinking was that this would optimize performance by enabling maximum parallelism. Is my thinking way off here or close to on-target? Should I consolidate into fewer publications or is having a publication for each table article O.K. (even good).I really appreciate your help and guidance on this.Normajean Bowen" |

management wise, 1 publication to a group of articles that can be subscribed by other subscribersexample: dbA has 10 articles that will be used by dbB and dbC but not dbD (less 1 article)so instead of creating 10 publications, you can opt to create 2 publications, either 9 articles and 1 article or 10 articles and 9 articles--------------------keeping it simple... |
