| anish writes "Dear Sir, Subject Area : Replication in SQL Server 2000 I am facing a problem while trying to implement Replication. What I have done is created a Publication using Merge Replication. The Publication has been created on a database that resides on the Domain Server(Windows 2000 Server) which has been configured as a distributor. Now I have created a Pull Subscription on a Domain Workgroup machine that's also running Windows 2000. I have done all the configurations that I think are necessary like, (1) the folder where the Snapshots are generated(on the Distributor) is accessible by the Subscriber. I have given full rights to it. (2) The account which is being used to access the Domain Server has administrative privileges.Still the Merge Agent is failing to connect to the Subscriber..It gives me an error like the following:-"The schema script '\\MIGTECH\C\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\ReplData\unc\MIGTECH_Student_PublishedByStudent\20011126174239\StudentMaster_1.sch' could not be propagated to the subscriber."-->Migtech is the name of the distribution server (Domain Server)...How can this error be solved, I have already wasted 4 days in trying to figure out the problem ...Please do help me...Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated....Waiting for ur quick replycheersAnish...." |

| 1.Does your subscriber has a snapshot of published tables?2.What is the login account for sql server/sql server agent ? Keet it same for publisher as well as subscriber. Use a domain account for the same, don't use local system account.4. While configuring replication the SQL servers needs to be registered with HOST/machiene name.
