sqlbalaji writes "Hi
I am trying to copy couple of tables (including data) from production to staging. I want to carry out this using a batch script if any is available. Is there is a way to do this at one step. I dont want to use DTS because of the following reasons.
1. It will try to create the security / user permissions in the destination database. If there is no user, then DTS will fail.
2. When there is change in schema in source DB, then the changes are not automatically picked up by DTS.

I would appreciate if any one can figure out how to do this. Its kind of very urgent and i need help

Thanks in advance
Balaji"

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
