Jalise writes "Is there a way for the server(I'm on SQL 2000) to automatically generate a unique ID when the data is imported using DTS? I created a new table with a TESTID column's properties set to IDENTITY Yes, IDENTITY Seed = 1, IDENTITY Increment =1. I was trying to import (using DTS) 50 records as a test and the server rejected the import because TESTID can not accept NULL. Well, I know that because I wanted this column to automatically generate a unqiue ID for me. Am I doing this incorrectly? HELP"

You need to modify your data pump task (or bulk insert task ... whatever the case may be) such that it doesn't try to insert into your TestID column. For a DPT, remove the transformation. For a BIT modify your format file.
