Hey all...

I am trying to import all my access tables into sql server...

While using the data import wizard I am getting a "DB_TYPE DBTIMESTAMP Data Overflow invalid character set" error

I know this is all to do with the way that the dates are formatted but even changing the tables directly and then re-running the package is yeilding no results...

Has anyone else had this problem before and knows of a work around?

Thanks for your help.

Pace, DBTYPE_DBTIMESTAMP should be mapping to a datetime field type in the destination table. From BOL, the limits on datetime are the range:

"Date and time data from January 1, 1753 through December 31, 9999".

Any dates outside that range?
