Hi all, Im pretty new to DTS so aplogies if I'm somewhat off base! I have an Access97 table which has carriage return and line feeds embedded within the fields...How can I loop through the table and delete these from WITHIN DTS? I have methods to clean up the string.

So far I've created a connection to the table linked it to itself with a Transformation task, but dont know how to transform it. Once the data has been cleaned up, I guess its easy to create a tab delimited CSV out if it?

Thanks in advance.

If the objective is to create a csv file why not make the character fields quote delimitted then you don't have to worry about tabs and line feeds.
Otherwise use a query as the source and do a replace on all the columns.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
