| Raja Annamalai writes "The are two servers particapating in a domain ServerA and ServerB,Server A is a publisher-distributor and Server B is the Subscriber.Server A : Windows 2003,Sql Server 2000Server B : Windows 2000,Sql Server 2000When a Immediate updating Subscriber is created for Server A database the subscription is created but the status of the MS DTC service running on the Server B is Unknown(But when I tried to access the MS DTC from the Enterprise manager i was able to start and stop the service) But still the subcriptions were created without any error. Now when i added a new entry in SERVER A the data was immediately replicated in SERVER B but when i tried the other way around the replication failed. Also i checked the database in SERVER B soon as i created the subscription all the triggers used for replication were created but when i tried to access the triggers after some time they were droped from tables." |

| in transactional replication, if you have server A as publisher-distributor and B as subscriber, you can't change anything in the articles in B, you can only select from the articles. all changes are made on server A.--------------------keeping it simple... |
