Enterprise Manager: Backup the database - that will be to the local disk on the server. Copy that backup file to your local machine. Restore it from that file into your local database (using Enterprise Manager again).Kristen

If its a web server, do you know the structure of the directories & where your wwwroot/ftproot directories are. If so just back it up as Kristen said "to the local disk on the server" and then download it via ftp or httpAndy

Well my two pennyworth is that the owner of the server should eb providing you with a way to get access to your data. I would expect them to have a daily backup, or an on-demand process, that put, say, a ZIP of a backup of your database in an FTP area. You could script the database, using Enterprise Manager, use that to create a local database, and then DTS the data. But there are a number of pitfalls with that approach - such as foreign keys, encrypted SProcs and probably some other things which I haven't through of.Kristen
