| I've got a following error in running a DTS package on SQLServer2000:(1:pkg_convert_proj_me) SubStep 'DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_1' failed with the following error:The connection for a task was not specified or was not found. This error was given after running another DTS package called pkg_convert_all_project. Primarily, the main focuts of this package is converting a lot of Access tables into SQL Server tables by first creating temp tables and then importing the data into SQL Server tables and then deleting the temps. This package consists of several DTS packages and (pkg_convert_proj_me) happens to be one of them. PROJ_ME is a table in Access and is supposed to convert and place all information into ITEM table. I've compared (pkg_convert_proj_me) with the other packages and there is one difference between that one in particular and the rest of the packages! The one difference is that when you look at the flow (what I mean is that under Local Packages - pkg_convert_proj_me - Design Package) I see two conn_Access_project icons in the flow whereas every other package has only one conn_Access_project! This to me is obviously an error and I would like to delete the extra conn_Access_project since they both contain the same properties. I'm a newbie regarding SQL Server 2000 and not familiar with manipulating this environment so bear with me when I ask this question. How do I delete the extra conn_Access_project? Because when I click on just ONE of the Access icons and press <DELETE> it erases both of them! And once I delete it how do I create a new Access connection to the database. Then once I create a new connection how to do I get those green arrows back to connect the other icons to each other back the way they were? Any good websites that explain this <ALT>-<PRINT SCREEN> page by page - I haven't been able to find any! I would love to post several Word attachments that have a Window by Window description of what I'm seeing to better explain what's going on. |
