Lou writes "We are in the process of converting our SQL Server 7 database to Unicode. However, a lot of our applications use xp_sendmail. It seems that in SQL 7 this extended stored procedure does not accept unicode characters. It returns the following error message:

Server: Msg 17957, Level 16, State 1, Line 0
Supplied datatype for @recipients is not allowed, expecting 'varchar'

Obviously I don't want to go in and edit the .dll that's used for this procedure - have you any other ideas as to how we can get around this?

Thanks"
