Hi guys,

I am fairly new to SQL Server. So I was trying to create a table and one of the columns in my table is SendEmail. The only 2 possible inputs I want to put in this are

"True" - which mean yes send me the email or
"False" - which means No dont send me an email.

But I dont want to actually type in the words "True"/"False" for each line item. I know in access you can check/uncheck in a particular cell. I was wondering if SQL Server table has a similar capability. Maybe a check/uncheck or maybe when I click on the dropdown it says True/False and I can just point and click what I need instead of actually typing the words True/False.

Please let me know if something like this is possible.

Thanks

What interface are you using to enter this data? Your application would use any of the techniques you described above and "translate" these values to however you want to store them in sql server. Probably a BIT column which takes either a 1 or 0.

anonymowho, just make this column not null, as you should for all columns (unless there's a good reason for doing otherwise of course :)

create table MyTable
(
...
SendEmail bit not null,
...
)
