| We have full text indexing setup to speed up name searches on our servers. One issue came across recently. If the user uses a "noise" plus a regular word in the search, and we append a * to the end of the string, no results will be returned."A Big Beer*" won't return anything"A Big Beer" will return expected resultset"Big Beer*" will return expected resultset.I can reproduce this problem pretty easily, just not sure why the presence of the noise word and the wildcard would cause the result set to fizzle? Any thoughts?________________________________________________I am a man, I can change, if I have to, I guess. |
