| As an extension of what I asked a couple days ago about getting around a cursor, I was talking to someone about this .. and he asked me if I rebuilt the table before I specified the ROWLOCK.. he uses primarily Oracle and Sybase.. and said that he has never done a rowlock without rebuilding the table because it needs somewhere to store the lock information?Like I said previously, this process has run flawlessly in production during heavy db usage for 2 days now.. but I'm curious.. is rebuilding the table something I need to do/have done? |
