I have a access 2000 db, and only MS ACCESS 2000 not 2003. I am having a hell of a time tring to import the databases to sql server express 2005. When I use the Upsize wizard in access 2000, I get a error that says "OVERFLOW" and that's it. I can setup the access file as a linked server, but then what should I do, is there a query I can run that will re-create the access db as a sql server 2005 express?

This is one of those issues I thought was going to take 10 minutes to fix, and I'm going on about 4 hours, and getting really frustrated. Any help would be appriciated..

Thanks

Overflow most often means that you are trying to import numbers and the target table in SQL does not have the appropriate size for holding the number from the source table.
Read about DATA TYPES in BOOKS ONLINE and figure out which data type that is right for you.

Also take a look at the VARCHAR columns to see if they are sized properly.

??? I am not importing to a target table, or db. I am having the upsize wizard create it. I am still confused on where to begin.

The issue was that I needed to apply sp3 to office 2000. It resolved the issue.
