I have the following error in Enterprise Manager when running a complex view : -

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired

Yet it works fine within Query Analyser (in about 55s) which makes me think its less about the server settings and more about Enterprise Manager.

The problem is I have made a change in the Tools->Advanced section on EP but this had no effect.

Do you know of anything I can do to aid this working

How much data does it return? If lots then you may need to just edit the query in EM to limit the amount of data you get at one time. Remember EM gives you an editable set of data, whereas QA is read-only so much less work for QA to do.
