| Hi,I have a datbase created on SQL Server 2000 machine via 3rd party software which contains historical statistical data and is archived off to DVD.The dvd contains .NDF, .LDF, .MDF files...The database is not marked read only (in the database properties) and I'm unable to change that...Is there no way to open it without copying to the harddisk?I want to make a program to quickly view the data, but at the moment it seems I must copy it to the harddrive first...and the file is about 3 GB so it would really slow down the program...I'm using SQL Server 2005 Express + VB 2005 at the momentWould appreciate any ideas...ChentiangemalcMicrosoft Certified Systems Administrator: Messaging (Windows 2003 Server)Certified Novell Netware AdministratorA+ Technician |
