| hi there,I have a sql 2000 database which I have restored onto a SQL 2005 server. The database once restored also bought across the user "mytestuser" that was associated to it. I cannot remove this user as the SQL error reports that "the database prinicipal owns a schema in the database and cannot be dropped". The reason I want to drop this user is because the new user I created "myNewUser" can connect through SQL Query Analyser to this database but not from a .net application which confuses me.If I look in event logs it states that "Login failed for user mytestuser" but I wasnt using this user to connect.so is there a way to remove the "mytestuser" account? |

| you have an orphaned user after the restoreanyways, before you can drop the login, you need to remove all associated objects and ownership--------------------keeping it simple... |
