Hi Guys,
When i use to loop through one table in my database having more than 100,000 records, it disturbs values in a different table. I am using Visual Basic 6 Frontend and SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition

Can you please tell me whats going on.
Thanks,
MA

What do you mean disturbs?
Are you updating? Is there a trigger on the table?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Are you using Cursor to loop through the table?

no, i am using microsoft visual basic 6.0. and using
connection.execute method to loop through the database and update some columns
like

col1=primary key
mSaveStr="Update table1 set col1=3,col2=4 where col1=1"
connection.execute(mSaveStr)

The above statement will update only one row as col1 is primary key. What is the difficulty in that? Give us more details
