I want to query the size of the database on the servers. I could not find the command or the syntax for that. The reason for this is that i am planning to develop a monitoring system which monitors the growth of the databases. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

An easy way is to run sp_databases. Or you could use sp_spaceused.
