| i have this win2k server with sp4 that running sql server 7 (7.00.1063) sp4. I have just purchased a software that requires msde 2000 sp3 and above or sql server 2000/2005 or sql express 2005 as the database for the software. can i install msde with a diffrent instance name and diffrent directory/location on the computer? im asking this because i cant do any changes on the sql server 7 coz its running my company's database. currently the sql server 7 start the service under the name MSSQLSERVER , i can install msde with a diffrent instance name which will start the service under .. example MSSQLSERVER$MYDB. to sum up , can msde 2000 be installed on a win2k server running sql server 7 sp4? |
