SQL Server System Stored Procedures used most?

I am reading some books of SQL Server script developments and chapters of System Stored Procedures. The books just mention a long list of such system stored procedures and some examples of them. In practice or the real world of SQL script developments, I'd like to know what the most used SQL Server System Stored Procedures are used most or should be known by SQL scripters/developerd?

Depends on what you are doing.

today I used
sp_who
sp_locks
sp_addlogin
sp_adduser
sp_addrolemember
sp_dropuser
sp_droplogin
sp_helpindex
xp_cmdshell
sp_helptext

But then it was a light day and didn't have to get involved with files or replication or security.
It is probably more use to know about system tables.
syslogins
sysusers
sysprocesses
syslocks
sysdatabases
sysfiles
sysaltfiles
sysobjects
sysindexes
sysprotects
syscomments
sysjobs
sysjobsteps
sysjobschedules
sysjobhistory
sysdtspackages

are a minimum that everyone should know about.
ok - I know I'll have missed some.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Thanks so much, nr & madhivanan who spend time for me on this issue.
I really save time to learn and remember what system stored procedures I need to know and focus on them following your valuable replies in this forum.
For book authors, on mentioning about system stored procedures, they simply pull all things from SQL Server BOL and put in the relevant chapter instead of emphasizing what mostly-used system sps SQL developers at least need to know for daily work. When reading such chapters of those SQL Server books, I lost my focus and was overloaded with bunch (long list) of system sotred procedures and their real-world needs.
One more time, thanks you guys so much.
