phani gopal writes "I am having a client system on which the MSDE2000 RELA is installed and the internet connection for this system is having a dynamic IP address. When I tried to connect to a remote SQL Server (SQL Server 2000 with SQL SP4) I am getting an error SQL Server does not exist of Access denied. In the same way even I am not able to create a DSN from the client system to the remote SQL Server.I searched different site and KB articles but found only some references like the service pack updates and MDAC updates on the server(Which are infact already there on the server) .I really could not identify what the problem is.Please help me out. Thanks In advance." |

Use DNS name. Use one of the Dynamic DNS like DynDns, NoIP etc to register the DNS name and access via DNS name KH |
