Hi,
I am using MSSQL 2000 and I am trying to start the server Service Manager. On clicking the start button, after 5 seconds, it doesnt start and goes to the stop mode. What could the reason be?

Thanks

Try starting it from the Command Line so you can see any messages it outputs?

Thanks for the reply. I tried the command sqlservr from the command prompt and I got this message: "This application has failed to start because opends60.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".

Sounds like that's your problem then!

Is "opends60.dll" anywhere on your disk - such that the PATH is wrong, or somesuch?
