| Morning All,I was just wondering whether it was possible to check the state of the Full Text Catalog i.e. "idle", "populating" etc. The reason being is I need to rebuild the catalog every hour but searches may still be performed, I want to check that its not populating, if it is, revert to LIKE...The reason I need to do this is because when using incremental population newly inserted/updated records seem to have an over inflated rank (sometimes as much as a factor of 10 larger...)Any thoughts are apprechiated.Thanks.Tim |

| I've found the answer, for those of you who may need to check this in the future, check out the SProc "fulltextcatalogproperty" (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms190370(SQL.90).aspx)HTHTim |
