I get the following error:Server: Msg 8107, Level 16, State 1, Line 2IDENTITY_INSERT is already ON for table 'MSGC_Main'. Cannot perform SET operation for table 'ContentOutputType_LKP'.I don't even have the table 'MSGC_Main' table specified in my T-SQL!I am flipping the identity_insert on and off accordingly. I'm quite puzzled at the moment.

Honestly, I thought I wouldn't have to provide anything since I thought the error was going to be a dead give away. I mean, the error relates to a table not present in the SQL :)The SQL is 500 lines. I'm wondering if its even usefull to post it since without a structure diagram, it could be useless? Should I still post it?I've looked at the execution plan and wasn't able to find the table in question either.

I think it was a caching problem or something. This morning, I decided to try to debug this again and I get other expected error messages. Problem solved it seems.

Sounds like someone somewhere set identity_insert on for MSGC_Main and never turned it off. If it happens again try set identity_insert MSGC_Main OFF. If that clears it up then there is some code out there that turns it on but doesn't turn it off.Be One with the OptimizerTG
