| Hi Guys,I'm getting an error and i want to understand why. In SQL 2005 if i reference a derived table that is pulling data from a remote server i get the error "Remote table-valued function calls are not allowed."This works in 2000, does anyone know why it no longer works in 2005? I`m going to rewrite this nasty old query but would like to understand the why and i can't find any info on it.INSERT INTO LOG_SERVER.SQL_SERVER_REPORTING.DBO.SQL_DATABASE_LISTSELECT @@SERVERNAME,[NAME],NULL,NULL,NULLFROM master.dbo.SYSDATABASES WHERE database_id > 4 AND [NAME] NOT IN (SELECT DATABASE_NAME FROM LOG_SERVER.SQL_SERVER_REPORTING.DBO.SQL_DATABASE_LIST (nolock) WHERE SRV_NAME = @@SERVERNAME) |
