Hello,

Really need help setting up my MSDE with Enterprise Manager.

During setup I receive the message to specify a strong password.

How do I set this up so that this will also allow me to use enterprise manager? I'm told I need to have settings on mixed mode or execute the svrnetcn.exe.? (not sure where that is)

Can someone please shed some light on the setup specifics...step by step? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for those links! I've learned a lot just reading those posts. I was able to change it to mixed mode. But found that the problem was I'm using sql 2000 while my hosting company has the db setup on sql 2005. So I was still unable to connect. They had to move it over to a 2000 server. Go figure.

Thanks so much for your help!
