Hello everyone. I'm getting a sql query that is run against the sql server in which I pulled when the query is being excuted from an application and I have a question regarding to one of the syntax.

SELECT ID, DATE, QTY, AMOUNT
FROM QUANTITY,PRICING P
WHERE ON Q.ID = P.A(+)

The question is the (+). I'm assuming that has something to do with a join clause but not sure which exactly. Any ideas?

Another one looks like this:

SELECT SUM(AMOUNT_SALE)
FROM AMOUNT
WHERE TYPE = :1
AND ID = :2

Are those numbers referencing a field or what? Not exactly sure what it is also. Any ideas?
